Bartłomiej Witucki Attorney Safjan-Witucki Bartłomiej Witucki is a graduate of the Faculty of Law at the University of Gdańsk and the Postgraduate Intellectual Property Law Program at the University of Warsaw. He is a lecturer on intellectual property law at the Pomeranian Bar Association and the author of numerous publications on copyright law. For over two decades, he has been involved with new technologies: initially as a creative director and head of R&D for the ASP internet project of the IT industry leader, Computerland S.A., and later as a lawyer, serving from 2003 to 2019 as the representative of BSA The Software Alliance, the world's leading software industry organization headquartered in Washington, D.C. While coordinating and overseeing BSA's anti-piracy program in Poland, he represented BSA members in contacts with government administration and the media within the scope of public policy activities. From 2016 to 2018, he was the initiator and co-organizer, in cooperation with Dziennik Gazeta Prawna, of a conference on cybersecurity. In 2010, he served as a consultant for the World Economy Institute at the Warsaw School of Economics, contributing to a study on the quality of IT resource management in central and local public administration, in collaboration with the Department of Electronic Economy at the Ministry of Economy. He has participated in consultations during the legislative processes for the Act on Copyright and Related Rights and the Act on Providing Services by Electronic Means. For many years, he has also provided legal support to well-known artists in the music and film industries and has been involved in the commercialization of images as part of marketing communication efforts. He is the legal representative of the author of the "Solidarność" (Solidarity) logo and an advisor to the heirs of the author of the "Polska Walcząca" (Fighting Poland) symbol.
