Kamila Zlatušková Founder & CEO Serial Killer Kamila Zlatušková is an independent producer, screenwriter, and director; founder and CEO of the Television Institute and Serial Killer – the first TV and web series festival in Central and Eastern Europe. She graduated from the Janáček Academy of Performing Arts (Dramaturgy and Screenwriting, Ph.D.) and studied Broadcasting/Film Studies at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln on a Paul Robitschek scholarship. She worked as a commissioning editor and creative producer at Czech Television, leading a multi-genre group that produced award-winning programs and international co-productions. As an author and director, she created the acclaimed documentary series Nestlings (Ptáčata), which followed socially excluded children over ten years. She also served as Vice-Dean for International Relations at FAMU and is now an assistant professor. In 2017, she founded Telepunk, and in 2018 launched Serial Killer, a major international platform for CEE TV. Together with investor Jiří Hlavenka, she created the Television Institute to nurture new talent. Forbes regularly lists her among the most influential women in the Czech Republic. In her spare time, she is a sauna master and recently published the book Mother on the Tracks, about traveling across Europe with children by train.
