Yako Molhov has over 20 years of experience in the media industry and currently serves as VP of Research at TVBIZZ Group, which operates CEETV (www.ceetv.net) — the leading industry media platform for the TV and streaming markets in Central and Eastern Europe — and TVBIZZ (www.tvbizz.net/news), an international B2B digital media platform for the global TV industry. He co-founded the company in 2009 and is responsible for the daily news and reports published by both services. He prepares special analyses for the company’s clients, conducts regular interviews with leading business executives, producers, directors, and talent, and serves as the editor of TVBIZZ Magazine (www.tvbizzmagazine.com).
After graduating from the Faculty of Journalism and Mass Communication at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" in 2006 with an MA degree in "Electronic Media" (cum laude for his master's thesis on the TV market in CEE and as the recipient of the annual scholarship for the best student of the faculty, provided by BNT), Yako worked as an editor, media analyst, program manager, and content research manager at various production companies and broadcasters in Bulgaria, including Global Vision, SIA Advertising, Fox International Channels, and TV2/Pro.BG (part of CME). Yako has also been part of the jury for The Golden Umbrella TV Festival and FebioFest and regularly attends leading market events and conferences.
